The fish only takes 20 days to transform from the male wall

Whale fishing when transgender into female hormone male off in 1-2 days, growing testicles and ready to mate with other females.

Researcher Erica Todd of the University of Otago, New Zealand, and colleagues collected a number of blue-headed fishes from several coral reef sites outside Florida's Key Largo island to promote transgender females. Then, they capture transgender females and consider what happens inside their bodies. The results of the study are published in the July 10 issue of Science Advances.

Researchers found that losing males made some females nervous. They become more aggressive and begin to show the usual flirting behavior of males. In predominant individuals, genes associated with female hormones turn off for 1-2 days, their colors begin to change. Normally, females are yellow or brown while males are green and blue.

At the same time, the egg-producing tissue in the ovary of the green-headed fish-tingling begins to shrink and is replaced by sperm-producing tissue. After only 8-10 days, ovaries in adult fish transform into testes, the fish can mate with other females and reproduce.

After 20 days, the fish has all the colors of the male and the transgender process is complete."Blue-headed squalas impress on speed. Other species take longer," Todd said.

About 500 species of fish can be transgender. The most common are females that convert into males but in some species such as clownfish, males can turn into females. At least one species is hawk fish in southern Japan, females not only have the ability to transform into males but also return to their original sex if needed.
