Hunter Franz Stehle found the fox carcass in the Danube river flowing through Fridingen in southwestern Germany, RT yesterday reported.

According to Schwäbische Zeitung, spring weather makes the ice covering the river surface not really hard. Fox can fall into the water through thin ice on the river surface and drown.

Stehle had to use a saw to remove the ice block that contained the fox's body out of the river."The frozen fox can be a warning for people who intend to walk on ice in the Danube , " Stehle said. Stehle decided to keep it up for display outside the family hotel.

Stehle said the fox was not the first animal to freeze on the Dabube river between -30 degrees in central Europe. Previously, many animals such as deer and wild pigs were frozen.
