The idea of ​​flowers on the island won the competition for clean water

Inspired by flowers from the sun and wind and rain, the 'Flower on the island' project won the first prize of the 'Summer Water' creative idea in HCMC.

"Flowers on the island" is one of three outstanding projects winning awards on the afternoon of July 26. The ideas for the final round show the interest in the life and activities of people in rural areas, mountainous areas and islands . where there is a serious shortage of water.

The project "Flower on the island" is a modern holiday building, catches rainwater, has a sedimentation tank, a filter tank below for people on Cat Ba Island (Hai Phong) to have more clean water sources.

At the first prize, LNT group gave an idea to build a system for recovery, treatment and storage of rainwater for domestic use for Ta So villagers (Moc Chau - Son La) where life is extremely difficult due to lack of water.

Sharing the first prize also included the "Environmental Semester" project, for elementary students to propagate and raise awareness of water saving.

The "Summer Water" contest kicked off in early 2014 in a series of activities of 1 billion cubic meters of water saving fund for Vietnam. The competition aims to facilitate the creative ability of young people in participating in actions that contribute to changing awareness and behavior of water use in the community.

Within this framework, 3 outstanding individuals selected from 482 faces were awarded the title of "Ambassador of 2014".
