The moment a ferocious elephant rushed in to attack, tossing a car carrying many tourists

The clip captured the moment a large and ferocious elephant rushed to knock over a car carrying many tourists from a nature reserve, making many witnesses shudder.

A heart-stopping situation occurred at Pilanesberg Nature Reserve (South Africa), when a large and ferocious male elephant suddenly rushed into a car carrying many tourists and attacked the car.

On the morning of the incident, Bongani Yende, a tour guide and driver, took tourists to a bird-watching area inside the reserve. While the tourists got out of their cars to go for a walk, Yende saw a large male elephant approaching the parking lot of the observation area.

Using his extensive experience with wild animals, Yende realized that this was a male elephant in his musth period.

Musth is the period when male elephants become very aggressive because of their strong desire to mate. Realizing that the situation was becoming dangerous, Yende only had time to call a few tourists into the car, while many others remained in the observation area.

There was not much time left to wait for the remaining tourists to board the bus, Yende decided to find a way to lure the elephant away from the observation area to ensure the safety of the tourists. Yende took the reckless action of pressing hard on the accelerator to drive the car straight towards the elephant, hoping it would get scared and leave.

However, this male elephant did not panic, but Yende's actions made the animal even more aggressive.

Every time Yende drove the car towards the elephant, the animal stood still, but soon it moved closer to the car with the aim of attacking. At this time, Yende continuously shouted loudly, waved his hands, banged on the car door, trying to do anything to make the elephant panic and retreat.

However, the elephant saw it as an act of defiance and rammed straight into the car. The animal uses its tusks and head to easily lift the car high.

The tourists in the car expressed panic, lying close to the floor of the car hoping the elephant would not see them.

After lifting the car high, the elephant dropped the car, causing the people in the car to be thrown away. However, Yende still tried to stay as calm as possible and continued to find a way to scare the elephant away.

Finally, after tossing the car many times, the elephant seemed to get bored with his "game" so he left. At this point, Yende and the tourists present in the car breathed a sigh of relief.

Eldine Arendse, a tourist present in the car, said he was very shocked when the incident happened and it took him a while to "come to his senses" and believe that he was still alive.

Luckily, the elephant only lifted the car high and left, instead of overturning the car and then attacking the tourists. If this happens, the consequences will certainly be even more serious.

Another clip by Hendry Blom, a tourist who was standing below in the parking lot when the incident happened, shows the elephant aggressively rushing to attack the tourist car. Hendry said that even from afar, he could still see that the elephant was extremely large and could easily knock over or even trample the car if it wanted to.

"Many people witnessed the scary scene happening right before their eyes. We heard screams and feared the people in the car would be injured. No one thought that people could escape the dangerous situation. there without any injuries ," Hendry shared.

After the elephant left, Bongani Yende immediately called the tourists into the car to move to another place, in case the elephant returned.

Bongani Yende's decisive and courageous actions were praised by many people, as he risked his life to help keep tourists safe.
