The most beautiful creature photos of the year

The picture won the first prize entitled "Splashing" by Shikhei Goh. The painting author said that in an unexpected rain on Indonesia's Riau Island, he recorded the dragonfly's wings that shook the water when the sun rises. A member of the jury said the author had taken the camera angle near the perfect light.

The photograph of "Green Lake" by photographer Kent Shiraishi won the consolation prize. The photo was taken in the winter at the resort in Biei, Hokkaido, Japan. Blue lake is a popular tourist area, attracting many visitors in spring, summer, and autumn. In winter, the lake freezes.
