Altindagoglu said a Lebanese priest gave his wife a picture of her 2006 birthday. Oil droplets began to flow from the painting on February 12 this year. Since then the Mother has been crying every day.

Altindagoglu said an Orthodox priest had agreed to hold a ceremony at his home this week to express gratitude to Mary.

"The next job is to invite a bishop to witness the oil droplets from the painting so that this strange phenomenon can be officially recognized by the Church , " Telegraph quoted Altindagoglu.

For centuries people have said hundreds of cries of blood, oil or water. However, only one case was recognized by the Pope as a strange phenomenon in 1973. It was a wooden statue of Mary Mary in Akita Prefecture, Japan, the British newspaper said.
