The new study reveals that people who have an affair will always have an affair
Adultery once a person feels guilty, but for the second, third, or longer time, guilt decreases.
A recent study by Princeton Institute of Neuroscience (USA) shows that people who once had an affair always had an affair.
Adulterers are more likely to never change.
In research, when a person lies for the first time, they will feel very uncomfortable. But for the second, third, or longer time, the guilt decreased. The reason is that there is a region in the brain that triggers negative reactions when we lie, but the reaction will subside in the following times.
"Similar to adultery, for the first time will feel extremely guilty. But more and more, adulterers will feel less evil about their actions and they may commit a greater crime", Neil Garrett , co-researcher shared on Elite Daily.
The person who lied, will most likely lie. Small lies will easily become bigger lies. For those who cheat, they may feel embarrassed about cheating, but when straying too much, they have adapted and simply don't feel cheating is a moral violation.
"Another possibility is that they don't feel adultery is bad right from the start, so they don't need to adapt , " added Neil Garrett.
