The only way of hunting for polar bears
The main food of polar bears is seals, without this species, polar bears can hardly survive.
Unlike other predators, bears often hunt solitary in the spring, on thin ice sheets in the Arctic.
When hunting, polar bears wait for seals to emerge to breathe, and they snatch up them immediately.
Polar bears are very picky eaters. When eaten, they shed seal skin and often ate only the subcutaneous fat and the lap. Only when they are too hungry will they eat the whole prey.
Usually in the summer due to the absence of seals to hunt, polar bears become omnivorous, they eat almost anything found.
When hunting seals, the polar bears slide down into the water with their hind legs down. When approaching the prey, they dive and then jump up, causing the prey to be surprised and unable to escape. Sometimes they wait patiently on the ice holes and wait until the seals emerge to breathe, they will snatch them right away.
