The reason inside the plane is always cold

It doesn't matter which time of year or the climate of the destination you're flying to, the interior of the plane is always as cold as winter.

Actually there is an important reason to keep the temperature in the aircraft compartments low. A published study of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) found that high chamber temperatures could lead to the risk of passengers fainting.

According to this study, fainting occurs when the aircraft increases in height compared to the ground, leading to reduced lung ventilation or reduced blood flow to the brain due to immobility, sleepiness and gas accumulation in the abdomen. Research shows that high cabin temperatures will "trigger" this situation.

So on a flight containing hundreds of people, each body has different heat judgments, so the crew must always keep the temperature inside the compartment always colder to avoid risk.

Low temperatures also help people not lose water. The air in the plane has been dried up so the temperature control needs to be turned on so that the passenger may be sick or nauseous.

So the next time you go to the plane, especially with long flights, be aware of bringing extra clothes to wear or borrow airline blankets to keep warm.
