Junkers Ju 87 or Stuka are German-made bombers and served during World War II. The wreck is found on the Adriatic seabed at a depth of about 30 meters, near the Croatian island of Zirje.

The Stuka was found in a well-preserved condition and seemed to have landed on the seabed very gently."The engine may have been detached when the fighter fell into the sea and was found nearby. The remaining parts were full and intact, " AFP quoted Igor Miholjek, the expedition's member. The Croatian National Conservation Institute, said.

According to the Telegraph, the Stuka bomber was used by the Italian Air Force and may have been shot down in 1941. It is not yet known if it could be recovered and brought to the surface.

The title has been changed.
