With the cooperation of underground experts, the three astronauts of the Than Chau 10 ship collected experimental equipment and returned to the ship before proceeding to separate from the Thien Cung 1 module.

Launched on orbit on June 11, the Than Chau 10 ship has successfully assembled two times with the space module, once assembled automatically and once operated by the astronauts on board.

The Shenzhou 10 is part of a multibillion-dollar space program that Beijing sees as a symbol of the development of China's space science.

In this mission, Shenzhou 10 has four main tasks: Surveying the coupling technique and features of the Thien Cung 1 module; Survey of astronaut's ability to ensure living, work and health; Study the adaptability in the cosmic environment and the effectiveness of astronauts working in space, expand space science experiments and repair in orbit; Check functions, features and co-ordination between systems in the process of performing tasks in the universe.

It is expected that the Shenzhou 10 ship will return to Earth around 8 am today.
