The Soyuz spacecraft sends three astronauts to ISS

After six hours of departure from the launch pad in Kazakhstan, Russia's Soyuz spacecraft carrying three astronauts flew to connect with the International Space Station (ISS) on the morning of May 29.

According to the announcement of the US Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA), Soyuz TMA-13M has connected to the Rassvet module of ISS at 8:30 am on the morning of May 29 (VN time) when both are staying. orbit above the Pacific Ocean, about 420 km from western Peru.

Previously, Soyuz TMA-13M left the launch pad at Russia's Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 1:57 am May 29 (Kazakhstan time, ie 2 hours 57 minutes on the same day as Vietnam time).

The ship carrying three astronauts including Maxime Surayev (Russian), Reid Wiseman (USA) and Alexander Gerst (Germany) flew to ISS for the purpose of traveling in space for 167 days. It is expected that all three will return to Earth in November.

According to AFP, the flight is a mission to Surayev's second ISS, while the other two astronauts are the first space flight.

NASA said, after the hatch opened, three Soyuz TMA-13M astronauts entered ISS in the welcome of three people on the station, Steve Swanson (USA) and Oleg Artemyev, Alexander Skvortsov ( same with Russia), brought by Soyuz TMA-12M from March 27 last.

All six astronauts form the 40th ISS International Fleet. Soyuz TMA-12M is expected to return its astronauts to Earth in September.
