Woof to Wash is specially designed with a dog barking mechanism. According to the research team, the design was put into practice because dogs were not able to press or rotate buttons.

In addition to the self-boot feature activated by the barking dog, the right-hand corner underneath the washing machine features a special pedal attached to a small rope. When the dogs step on this pedal, the washing machine door will be opened, allowing them to put dirty clothes on the inside, then the washing machine will load the appropriate amount of detergent.

Not only are they trained as guides to start the washing machine, they are also trained to perform other tasks such as spreading bed sheets, getting dirty clothes out of the washing machine, and putting them in clothing baskets.
