The whole bridge is easily stressed

Perfectionists are more sensitive to psychosocial impacts than those who are comfortable. This reaction will lead to health hazards, the Swiss researchers said.

Perfectionists often have higher levels of cortisol stress hormone and are also more likely to feel tired, irritable and frustrated.

These people were selected after answering a questionnaire measuring the perfection level. "There are 35 questions like whether they feel good at organizing their work, getting frustrated with mistakes and feeling frustrated when they don't achieve their goals," Wirtz said.

According to him, perfectionists are understood to be people who set too high standards for something while being too strict with themselves. Researchers found that the higher the overall demand, the greater the cortisol stress hormone level. They also found a relationship between perfection and physical exhaustion, including fatigue, irritability and frustration.

Perfectionists often impose high standards on themselves. Researchers recommend that by bringing these standards closer to reality, perfectionists will be able to feel more confident and less stressful about society.
