Two meteors just fly close to Earth

Up to two meteorites fly close to Earth at a very close distance in just 2 days, May 28 and May 29, but do not affect our planet.

>>>Today, a meteorite will fly close to Earth

According to the Universe Today, the 2012 KT42 meteorite, about 5 meters in diameter, flew over our Earth at 2 am on May 29, at an extremely close distance of 14.323km - equivalent to the distance from New York City ( USA) to New Zealand. The NASA Jet Laboratory (JPL) said 2012 KT42 was the sixth meteorite to fly near Earth.

This is the second meteorite to fly over Earth within 2 days. On May 28, 2012 KP24 meteorite with a diameter of about 20m also flew close to Earth at a distance of 51,000km.

However, 2012 KT42 is unlikely to jeopardize life on Earth, because astronomers believe that the meteorite will be completely burned if it flies into the Earth's atmosphere, before it has a chance. The festival devastates our planet.

According to Daily Mail, the new 2012 KT42 meteorite was discovered by Dr. Alex Gibbs of Catalina Sky Research Institute - University of Arizona (USA). Dr Gibbs said that this orbit and the speed of this meteorite are very complex, unpredictable.

The US Space Agency (NASA) conjectures that another meteorite, much larger than 2012 KT42, is 2012 DA14 with a diameter of 45m and weighing 14,000 tons that will fly over Earth at a distance of 34,000km in February next year. Scientists warn that the meteorite could damage some satellites in Earth's orbit.
