Video: 'Chamawat Demon' - The most dangerous tiger in the wild

A female Bengal tiger nicknamed the Champawat Demon killed a total of 436 people before being shot dead in 1907 .

The Bengal tiger or Royal Bengal tiger, (Panthera tigris tigris) is a subspecies of tiger found mainly in Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Bhutan and southern Tibet. It has been listed as endangered on the IUCN Red List since 2008, and was estimated to number fewer than 2,500 individuals in 2011, mainly due to poaching, habitat loss and fragmentation. The Tiger Project in India has contributed to the recovery of this subspecies in the wild.
