According to Business Insider, scientists at the University of California, USA, statistics and making comparisons between human brain and brain of other animals such as elephants, lions, dolphins, cats, gorillas.
The results show that the number of neurons is proportional to the mass of the brain but the number of cortical neurons, where the cognitive functions are concentrated, does not correspond to the brain mass. Research shows that gorillas are the smartest type, just behind humans.
