Voyager 2 leaves the Solar System, enters the interstellar realm

In addition to the mission of exploring planets, the Voyager project also delivers the Earth's story to the entire universe.

left Earth in 1977, until December 10, 2018, it officially left the Solar System, about 18 billion km from our planet. Previously in 2012, Voyager 1 "brother" was the first human-made object to enter interstellar space.

Due to the distance away from Earth, even though I went to the outer space of the diary on December 10, 11/12 NASA received information from Voyager 2. The US space agency said the cities Voyager project staff will announce their findings at a press conference organized by the American Geophysical Union (AGU) in Washington.

"Working in Voyager makes me feel like a real adventurer. Everything it finds is new to us. Although Voyager 1 entered the interstellar space first, but due to different directions, the What Voyager 2 sent is very precious, " said researcher John Richardson.

The main task of these two unmanned ships is to explore planets like Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune, but they are also responsible for bringing the story of humanity across the distant universe.

Each Voyager ship contains a reader and a gold record disc, built to last over 1 billion years. The disc contains images, selected documents about Earth and human culture. Scientists hope that one day an extraterrestrial civilization will receive them and understand human messages.
