Walking suddenly picked up the diamond in the park
An American woman walking in the park discovered a diamond weighing nearly 3 carats.
The white stone she found was white diamond weighing 2.63 carats.
According to Fox news, the 71-year-old visitor from Aurora, Colorado visited "Crater of Diamonds State" park in Arkansas, USA with her husband, son and two grandchildren.
The female visitor suddenly spotted a glistening object that she initially thought was a glass shard.
She then took the stone to the Discovery Center at the park, and the officials here confirmed the white stone she found was white diamond weighing 2.63 carats. It is the largest diamond found in this park this year.
She said: "I don't know what to think about it. It's about the size of a pea, and has a nail-like shape. I'm incredibly surprised."
The park spokesman said the woman found the diamond in the area between East Drain and North Wash Pavilion. This is the eroded mountain area of the ancient volcano containing diamonds.
