Warning of future robots can destroy humanity

A scientist at Louis Ville University in the United States warns that humanity's future can be threatened if the robot is able to enjoy pleasure or emotion when receiving praise from humans.

"In order to create independent and creative machines, we need to give robots reward and hobbies," said Roman V. Yampolskiy, director of cyber-security research labs at Louis Ville University. TechNewsDaily .

However, according to Yampolskiy, if the robot is rewarded for making people happy, it can decide to destroy human beings because if humans do not exist they will never feel unhappy.

'I'm trying to make sure all the intellectual software we're developing is safe to use and useful to people,' he reassured.

In a recent article, Yampolskiy describes the process of 'brain electrical stimulation' in which a shock is sent to the pleasure zone of the rat brain.

'The self-stimulating activity of the mouse has left the animal no longer interested in sex, sleeping, eating, drinking, and eventually dying early,' wrote Yampolskiy.

Electrification of the brain in humans is the same, he argues, although in less direct ways. Thus, Yampolskiy said that it is possible to apply this approach to smart robots so that they no longer care about the pleasure.

However, he believes the robot is sufficiently advanced to decide that pleasure itself is empty. Most people have the same idea. This is why most people are not drug addicts and those who do not eat.

Yampolskiy proposes a number of possible solutions, including rewarding function software, programming the robot to feel fear of self-change, installing external reward management programs or creating Robots are good enough to choose the right job instead of brain stimulation.
