Windshield self 'wipe' the fog
Based on carbon nanotubes, the windshield of the TEG manufacturer, Germany, will automatically remove the fog layer without wiping it. This product is compatible with 12V power supply of ordinary cars and is very useful in humid days.
In the winter days, spring, the driver's wing frequently encounters a windshield situation that is clutched to a fog that reduces visibility. This phenomenon occurs in warm days, high humidity in the air. At a particular temperature, often called a " dewpoint, " moisture in the air condenses, forming a layer on the lower-temperature windscreen.
For cold days, the humidity in the air decreases so often this phenomenon does not occur.
To overcome this, people can increase the amount of air by opening the door, heating the cabin or heating directly to the windscreen so that the temperature passes through the dew point. However, there is a better and more convenient solution than the product developed by the Fraunhofer Development Group TEG in Stuttgart. TEG's windscreens are heated through a pipeline system made of nanoparticle carbon nanotubes (a billionth of a meter).
Ivica Kolaric, engineer at TEG, and his team have developed a windscreen link system for more than a year. When plugged in with power, the coatings on the carbon ducts will heat up, heating the glass surface higher than the dew point and breaking the water vapor on it. The advantage of this technology over current glass heating technology is that carbon tubes are capable of dispersing heat across the entire glass surface. All points are heated equally, at the same time but not from hot to cold as other methods.
In addition, the overlays keep heat so when the power is off, the glass temperature returns to normal. Coatings convert almost entirely electrical energy to heat so this method does not affect much to the 12V power system in the popular cars. The windshield will become clean quickly with very little energy.
