10 places you should go before it disappears

Whether it is sea level rise, desertification, torrential monsoon, melting glaciers or ocean acidification, climate change quickly changes the landscape of our planet. We can be one of the last generations to see some of Earth's most lovely locations.

Here is a list of 10 locations to see before it disappears.

Glacier National Park

Almost 100 years ago, there were more than 150 glaciers scattered throughout Glacier National Park. By 2005, there were only 27 remaining, and glaciers are expected to disappear by 2030, and possibly before. Many of the plant and animal species that are considered their homes at this ice park will be severely affected, meaning that the park's ecosystem can change dramatically when the glaciers have disappeared.

Venice, Italy

A man caught a river bass with his bare hands while standing at St Mark's Square in Venice during a severe flood in November 2009, when the water level reached 131cm. Venice has long sunk below sea level, but sea level rise has made the situation more serious. The frequency of flooding increases each year, leaving many questions about how long Venice remains on the water.

Great Barrier Reef

It is the largest coral reef in the world so it can be seen from space, but the Great Barrier Reef is disappearing at an increasing pace due to climate change. Ocean temperatures rise, water pollution, acidification of oceans and tornadoes continuously hit coral reefs and corals have died in a series of white. What happened in 8,000 years for nature can disappear in our life cycle.

Sub-Saharan Africa

It is estimated that Sahara desert in Africa is growing at a rate of 0.5km per month. This desert is the largest in the world, can swallow all North Africa, changing the environment of a continent.

Maldives

Maldives is the lowest country in the world, with a maximum natural ground elevation of 2.3m (7 feet, 7 inches), and averaging only 1.5m (4 feet, 11 inches) above sea level. If the sea level rises too much, the country can earn an undesirable title: the first country sank in the ocean due to global warming.

Patagonia

A land of unspoiled beauty, Patagonia of South America could change dramatically by climate change. Many of its glaciers continually withdrew because of rising temperatures and reduced rainfall. While this land will not disappear completely, its landscape may soon be changed without realizing if global warming remains.

Bangladesh

Located in the Ganges-Brahmaputra River Delta, Bangladesh lies in a focus of climate change conditions. About 50 percent of the area will be flooded if the sea level rises by 1 meter. Bangladesh is also located in the center of the monsoon belt. Natural disasters, such as floods, tropical storms, tornadoes and tidal bores occur here almost every year - with tragic results.

Alaska tundra

Hot global warming affects the Arctic twice as fast as the rest of the world, meaning that the beautiful northern tundra of Alaska may disappear completely if the temperature continues to rise. The tundra of permafrost melted, it not only dramatically changed ecosystems but also released additional carbon - ironically, it accelerated global warming.

South Australia

Like the Sahara desert in Africa, desertification threatens South Australia. In the area, fresh water supplies are rapidly depleting. Meanwhile, dry landscapes increase the occurrence of wildfires, threatening agricultural production, wildlife and hundreds of houses in Australia.

Alps

The European Alps are at lower altitudes than the American Rocky Mountains, and glaciers and ski resorts are very sensitive to the effects of global warming. Famous glaciers are expected to disappear by 2050.
