Entertainment26 huge letters on the surface of the Earth
The giant letter patterns floating on the Earth's surface will be revealed below, making sure you've never seen them.
Not long ago, NASA published 26 pictures, which reminds us of 26 letters in the English alphabet. Most of these " unique " photos were taken from satellites, ISS space stations, and modern telescopes around the world.
NASA said that these are only figurative images, so there will be many characters that you may not recognize immediately, but need to observe carefully and longer, such as A, B or R.
Let's visit new and unique lands with the alphabet set below:
Letter A
On January 22, 2014, an astronaut captured a giant A-shaped image on the Green River in Utah.
Letter B
On August 4, 2014, an Operational Land Imager (OLI) device on Landsat 8 captured the B-shaped image of the Arkansas river in the wild park Holla Bend Wildlife Refuge in the state of Arkansas, USA.
Letter C
On January 23, 2011, an astronaut captured this photo on an artificial island located on the southern end of Bahrain island.The sea sand lines are mainly made up of the decomposition of shells and bones of marine species.
Letter D
On August 9, 2000, a D-shaped photo was recorded on Akimiski Island in James Bay, British Columbia, Canada.
Letter E
A Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) device from NASA's Aqua satellite has captured a picture of a plankton off New Zealand, which bears a very similar shape to the E.
Letter F
The OLI device on Landsat 8 once again captures the F-shaped image of a valley and mountain range completely covered by white snow in southeastern Tibet.
Gee
The picture above appears to be not very different from the letter G in the alphabet.This is an image taken at Pinaki Atoll in French overseas territory, recorded by astronauts on the ISS station.
Letter H
Impressive picture of the letter H is taken in a river flowing through the colorful mountains in southwestern Kyrgyzstan.
Letter I
On February 10, 2007, the MODIS device on NASA's Terra satellite recorded a picture of the Andaman Islands, when they were shaped quite similar to the letter I. The thin belts are shining around, precisely coral reefs emerged after the earthquake near Sumatra (Indonesia) in 2004.
The letter J
A device of the Landsat 8 satellite captured the J-shaped image of giant coral reefs on Trunk Island, near Townsville, Australia.
Letter K
In August 2015, OLI in Landsat 8 captured a picture of the Sirmilik National Park glacier in Mittimatalik, the territory of Nunavut (Canada).They look quite similar to the letter K on the alphabet.
Letter L
In October 2008, MODIS on Aqua satellites captured the picture in the northeastern United States covered in snow.It was the snow layers here that created the frame very similar to the letter L
Em
The picture above was taken by the OLI device on Landsat 8, on the Tian Shan mountain glacier in northeastern Kyrgyzstan.
Letter N
On March 4, 2009, once again the MODIS device on Terra satellite captured a picture of an N-shaped scene of a Pacific ocean ship emitting emissions.
The letter O
Sensors on Terra's satellite captured the image of the Tenoumer meteorite in the half-mountain in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.This meteorite was trapped in the Earth some 10,000 - 30,000 years ago and they look quite similar to the letter O in the alphabet.
The letter P
Once again the cameras on Terra satellite captured the P picture on the Mackenzie River in Canada.
The letter Q
ASTER sensor on Terra's satellite accidentally recorded the Q-shaped image at the lake Lonar Crater located in Lonar town, Maharashtra state of India.
Letter R
In January 2015, OLI on Landsat quickly captured the image of Lago Menendez Lake in the Los Alerces National Park in Argentina, when they were shaped like the R in the alphabet.
The letter S
Seeing the picture of these swirling clouds, we cannot help but think of the letter S. They were recorded by the MODIS device on the Tera satellite.
Tee
In March 2015, the OLI device of Landsat 8 captured the image of two intersecting roads forming a unique T-shape, in the United Arab Emirates.
U
The Ikonos satellite captured the U-shaped image at the Gooseneck State Park in Utah state.
Letter V
In March 2015, the OLI device on Landsat 8 captured the V-shaped image, when the snow moment covered the half Shiveluch mountain on the Kamchatka peninsula in Russia.
W
On January 13, 2009, the MODIS device accidentally captured the picture of the moment the dust blew over the Red Sea.They created a pretty small W shape.
The letter X
In August 2012, the satellite ASTER on Terra quickly recorded an X-shaped image in the northwest of the Leidy Glacier glacier in Greenland.
Wye
This Y picture is captured by the ASTER sensor on Terra satellite, at the Uhab river in Namibia.
Letter Z
In July 2012, the MODIS device on NASA's Aqua satellite recorded a photo from a cloud of smoke in a forest fire in Canada.Looking at them, anyone can imagine that it is very similar to the letter Z in the English alphabet.
