3D model of the fetus

With 3D technology, parents can embrace and model their unborn babies.

Almost every couple is excited about the fetal ultrasound in their abdomen, and they always cherish the black and white images of the unborn little angel.

With new technology, a medical center in Japan is offering a 3D model of the fetus, using 3D printing technology.

According to the technology introduced by the company Fasotec, Parkside Hiroo Ladies Center in Tokyo said that the construction of three-dimensional model is similar to the ultrasonic process, but instead use an MRI scanner (also known as scanner Magnetic Resonance).

From MRI data, experts use a technology called Bio-Texture , which makes information available to 3D images. Then, the machine will use two colors to create a fetal pattern.

The resolution of the image is not as sharp as it looks, but it is enough for the mother to please, according to the center.

According to Wired UK, the price of the service is 100,000 Yen (about $ 1,275), without MRI.

Fasotec says its printers can reproduce the 3D model of human internal organs for the needs of surgeons.
