5 most daring traffic projects in the world

The high-speed tube-powered train, newly introduced earlier this week, is one of the many outstanding ideas in the world about human transport.

Space elevator

This idea was first introduced in 1895 by Russian scientist Konstantin Tsiolkovsky. The space elevator on the earth consists of one end of a cable attached to the ground near the equator, and the other end goes beyond space attached to a counterweight (either a station or heavy objects).

The interaction between gravity near the ground and the centrifugal force away from the earth will help the cable straighten. In theory, this elevator can effectively bring people and equipment into space.

By helping people escape the earth's atmosphere and gravity, space lifts will become a revolution in space tourism. However, technical obstacles in construction structure make space elevator difficult to become reality.

To complete it, experts need a 35,000km cable with extremely high durability, from which it can pull heavy objects at a distance. Currently these cables do not exist. Carbon nanotubes are arguably the most promising material that can create such a cable. From then until then the idea of a space elevator is still on paper.

Elevator on the moon

Although the earth-and-space elevator is still a distant high-tech dream, according to many experts, a moon lift can be built, because the attraction of the moon is much smaller than the left. soil, and cable materials are simpler and easier to fabricate.

LiftPort company has tried to help this idea become a reality. LiftPort argues, with a test elevator on the moon about two kilometers long, the head on the cable held by giant balloons extending from the lunar surface into space. This facilitates transportation to the moon, allowing the cargo to land softer on its surface.

The whole project aims to reach the moon more easily. LiftPort supporters argue that complex technical challenges in building structures can be overcome. This work allows about 30 people to visit the moon each year.

Michael Laine, president of the company said: 'Before building the space elevator on earth, we will build it on the moon. With current technology, completion will take about 8 years'.

Self-driving cars

The dream of a self-driving car for middle-class people has been around since 1974. To date, that dream has gradually become a reality. Google's self-driving cars have made significant strides with numerous tests of Prius and Lexus SUVs on the California, US highway.

Google's self-driving car works similarly to a self-driving mechanism on aircraft. It can operate independently without any driver action. The laser radar system placed on the roof and in front of the vehicle helps to detect objects in front and report to the central processor.

Audi and Lexus are also developing technology to create autopilot and mass production cars in the next few years.

Car flying

The flying car once appeared in the imagination of writers and scientists for generations. And now this idea is gradually becoming a reality when Massachusetts-based Terrafugia plans to build this car first in 2015.

'It is not a sleek device but it will fly at speeds of 185km / h,' said Terrafugia company representative.

Cars flying Terrafugia use a propeller system that can tilt and take off vertically, this is a special design in the future.

Earlier this month, the aircraft named TF-X of Terrafugia made an impressive public debut at the EAA AirVenture air show. Here, the car flew for 10 minutes at a moderate height compared to the audience and then ran on the runway with folded wings.

Aerial public transport

Officials in Tel Aviv want to create a public transport system right above the city in the future. So, they hired skyTran with NASA, designing this system.

Special vehicles will replace vehicles in urban areas, they move along an overhead rail using magnetic fields. Passengers can call them via mobile phone application.

The system is designed to reduce urban traffic congestion in a less expensive, greener, faster and more comfortable way.
