The program is organized by Fecon Underground Engineering and Underground Corporation (Vietnam). Co-organizer is the Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering VSSMGE (Vietnam) and Asian Institute of Technology - AIT (Thailand).
Geotechnics were first held in Hanoi in October 2011 with nearly 450 delegates from 24 countries around the world and intensive lectures in geotechnical fields. This year, conference attendees continued to have access to 6 intensive lectures by six leading geotechnical professors around the world such as Sven Hansbo (Sweden); Alain Guilloux (France); Rolf Katzenbach (Germany); Fumio Tatsuoka (Japan), Helmut Schweiger (Austria); Kenichi Soga (UK).
