76 long ducklings lined up to swim after her mother causing fever

The moment the mother duck led the crowded cubs to feed on the lake in the United States into the lens of a photographer.

Amateur photographer Brent Cizek took a picture of the female duck carrying 76 ducklings on Lake Bemidji, about 240 km northwest of Duluth, Minnesota state, Fox News reported yesterday. " The picture makes you wonder, how can this happen? How does it happen? Why can the mother duck look after so many ducks," Cizek said.

Cizek said he saw crowded ducks on June 27 when he came to the lake. He counted at least 56 ducklings that day, and returned a few weeks later to see if they could be seen. When Cizek met the mother duck of the sand ducks and her cubs, he found more than 20 more juveniles swimming after it.

The big ducklings swim after the mother duck is not a rare sight. A duck can have 20-30 young birds swimming. Ducks also often lay eggs in the nest of the same species to increase survival for the ducklings, according to the National Audubon Society.

However, sand ducks often hatch only 20 eggs, making Cizek's discovery special, according to an ornithologist at Yale University, Richard O. Prum. Scientists believe that the mother duck gathers several other young ducks that are separated from their biological mother and play the role of an experienced nanny. It will definitely continue to take care of the ducks until they are big enough to feed themselves.

"This is incredible, many people will have to recognize it as" mother of the year " , the photographer said. Cizek posted photos on social networks, attracting thousands of likes, sharing and commenting.
