A pair of swans who ring their bell for food ...
The sight of the swans ringing for food for 200 years at an old castle in England runs out of danger, when the male swan abandons his mate.
Since the 1800s, white swans still use a rope to ring the bell at the Bishop's Palace at Wells, Somerset, southwest England, to ask for bread. The famous swans were trained to ring the bell to remind their carers to throw food through the window for them. This unique scene attracts thousands of visitors each year to the palace to visit the castle of Bath and Wells.
But this long-standing tradition is at risk no longer because the swans are performing this ritual 'everyone's way'.

The pair of Bertie and Vicky (named swans) took their place from June this year after pairing the previous swans separated because one died, and the other was taken home. Bertie and Vicky struggled to adjust to the ringing action. But now Berti has left, leaving Vicky alone. And from there, the bell did not ring.
The first swans were taught by Hervey's daughter, how to ring the bell in the 1870s. That tradition has been maintained ever since. In 2006, the pair Ricky and Glinty were awarded by the Queen of England trained to carry out this tradition. However, Ricky is dead and Glinty is taken to a new place in a sanctuary. Bertie and Vicky were brought in instead.
