A pair of twin red Tamarin monkeys just born
Berlin's German zoo has just introduced its newly born red-handed Tamarin monkey pair. These two newborn monkeys were born in the zoo on September 17 but have not yet been named.
This monkey has the same name as it comes from its red furry hands. It is one of the smallest monkeys in the world, which is only about 25 centimeters tall and weighs less than 1 kilogram.
These tiny monkeys are found mainly in the Amazôn region of Brazil, living closely together in groups of about 20 animals.
The red tamarin monkey is special in that, the whole family is involved in taking care of the baby monkey. This species mainly eats fruit, in addition to small insects and eggs are also included in its menu.
