Then, from May 21 to 26, severe progression in both lungs, liver enzymes increased and patients with pneumothorax. By May 30, the doctor had drained the spilled gas from the pleura. Currently, the patient has no fever, breathing through mask, the situation is stable.

Dr. Nguyen Duc Hien predicted that the patient had passed the critical stage.

Together with patient T., who has been confirmed to be infected with H5N1 virus, the National Institute of Tropical and Clinical Diseases also received 3 other cases of severe pneumonia in the past, having previously eaten sick chickens. . Among them, one patient died. However, the test results showed that the patient was negative for H5N1 virus.

They all have specific characteristics of patients infected with H5N1 virus. That is Mr. Phung Tien Dong, 29 years old, a communal police officer who participated in destroying poultry. He is being treated at the hospital's Infectious Diseases department.

The second is a patient suspected of being poisoned due to the condition of jaundice and yellow eyes, but when the lung is taken, it becomes white. Because the condition was too severe, he died at 12:00 on June 1. Specimens of these two people still in doubt were sent for testing.

In the case of newly infected H5N1 patients treated at the National Institute of Tropical and Clinical Diseases, it is Mr. Phung Minh Phuc, 30 years old (in Thach Da, Me Linh, Vinh Phu) who have been confirmed to be infected with the virus. H5N1 withdrawal on May 20. After many days of breathing in the trachea, Phuc was removed from his breathing tube, replaced by a breathing aid mask.

Currently, the patient has no fever, circulatory, respiratory and stable vessels. The treating doctor said that X-rays were still blurry at the bottom of the lungs, but the patient had no infection with the H5N1 virus.
