Add a base on a 'population'

Returning to the discovery of the two ancient tombs in the Ciputra metropolitan area in April 2011, initially the scientists judged the area's underground as an ancient graveyard, because many years ago there were once discovered other ancient tombs. However, when the old well was discovered, Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Lan Cuong (who directly excavated) said that this place could once exist a population living; because the well is a testament to people's activities.

At the end of August, construction workers discovered another ancient tomb located near the main gate of the urban area. This tomb continued to be excavated by Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Lan Cuong. According to Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Lan Cuong, when he arrived, the grave was almost scratched by the excavator, leaving only the grave bottom. Tomb length 4.3m, horizontal 0.94m. The height has been lost in the upper part, so only the remaining 0.7m can be measured. Bricks built in tombs are 28cm long, 16cm wide and 4.5cm thick. At the edge of the brick there is absolutely no pattern of 'cage fillings' or 'fish bones' like in the two tombs excavated in April 2011. At the bottom of the grave is not as brick-like as the two tombs first, but clearly recognizes the cambery on the western side of the grave. In the middle of the bricks seems to have a binder. This is different from the previous two tombs, which are lined up together.

Associate Professor Nguyen Lan Cuong said that the soil in the grave is quite hard and completely free of mud. Artifacts found mostly at the top and bottom of the grave include pottery and iron coffins.'Based on the structure of the grave and artifacts obtained, we believe that this grave is also of the Dynasty dynasty (about the fourth century to the sixth century),' said Associate Professor Nguyen Lan Cuong.

PGS Nguyen Lan Cuong also added that all three ancient tombs and ancient wells discovered in Ciputra urban area are located at a depth of about 2m above the ground. He affirmed that these graves are all of the mandarins or merchants, because they are made quite solidly, accompanied by burial goods.

Many false rumors about ancient tombs

The number of Luc dynasty graves found in Vietnam is very small. The artifacts found at the grave are also quite rare, because most tombs when discovered by experts fell into the situation of being excavated, smashed, lost all artifacts. The reason for the ancient grave often being destroyed is speculation about the value of objects in the grave. Many people believe that long-term artifacts are synonymous with great economic value. However, in reference to many antiquities collectors, we know that artifacts in Han tombs are often very cheap, because the artistic element of ceramics in this period is not sophisticated. There are some extremely special artifacts found in Han Dynasty which are only worth tens of millions of dong.

Along with the discovery of ancient tombs, public opinion has many rumors about precious artifacts in these tombs. Rumors have it that, among Han tombs, dead people are often buried with a lot of jewels or even buried with cultivators. These beauties were allowed to hold ginseng, sitting in the grave, then the grave was filled with soil to allow some air to enter .

PGS Nguyen Lan Cuong said that there is no evidence to confirm that the above speculation is true in Han tombs discovered in Vietnam, because no bones are found, the artifacts cannot say it. . Associate Professor Nguyen Lan Cuong also said that during his participation in excavation of the ancient tomb, only once did he discover a golden earring in an ancient tomb excavated at Mao Khe - Quang Ninh.

However, Associate Professor Nguyen Lan Cuong said that in the tombs of Han Dynasty found in China there are many special things. There is a grave of this country, when excavated it was discovered a carriage with horse bones in posture. That proves that the code is far away and that warrior uncle has been buried alive .

On August 22, 2011, Kumho Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. (Korea) during construction near the main gate to Ciputra urban area (Dong Ngac commune, Tu Liem, Hanoi) accidentally broke it up. 1 grave brick. The company's officers have called archaeologists to survey the ancient tomb.

After reviewing the scene, the scientists came to the conclusion that it was an ancient tomb, most likely a Six-dynasty grave. On August 29, 2011, Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism allowed Vietnam Archaeological Association and the famous monument management board to jointly unearth the tomb.
