Amazing 3D paintings

A Dutch painter has created amazing 3D pictures with pen and paper. Ramon Bruin, 31, developed the technique of painting he named 'anamorphosis' (image distortion art) based on airbrush painting techniques. Airbrush is the art of drawing using small paint sprayers.

Bruin has drawn airbrush for 10 years. He studied this drawing technique at the Airbrush Institute in Lelystad, the Netherlands and continued with this drawing technique through the company JJK Airbrush.

'Airbrush technique is a great technique to create deep and lifelike drawings , ' Bruin told New York Daily News. 'The challenge is to create anamorphic paintings not just to make a 3D-like drawing, but the pictures of the drawings must really look like 3-dimensional. The depth of the picture can only be seen from a certain angle. I also experimented with light and with a suitable light the painting was like 'stepping out' of the paper '.

Bruin is continuing to develop a new style for his next project. This project includes creating a 47x32 inch portrait and is made up of 600 squares of different colors.
