Animal world in the rainforest
With biodiversity, tropical rainforests are an essential habitat for many animal species such as South American pythons, river dolphins, glass frogs or sun bears.
1. Python of South America
South American pythons are found in tropical rain forests, swamps or rivers in South America. They are the world's largest, heaviest and second largest snake genus in the world. This python species has no toxicity, but they can kill an adult by wrapping and squeezing. They have a half-underwater lifestyle, a semi-terrestrial half and often hide under water to trap prey.
2. Ostrich cat head
Cat-headed ostriches live in tropical rainforests of New Guinea and northeastern Australia. This is the third largest bird in the world. Females are often brighter than males.
3. Glass frog
Amphibian glass frog Centrolenidae, whose scientific name is Hyalinobatrachium valerioi. This amphibian species mainly possesses a pale green skin, but the belly is transparent, making observers see quite clearly their digestive system. They are found in tropical rainforests of Central America and South America.
4. Jaguar
Jaguar is a fierce predator in tropical rain forests in Central and South America. This is the largest cat animal in the US and the third largest in the world after tiger and lion. This jaguar can easily adapt to the humid environment of tropical forests and live comfortably in water environments like marshes, riverside.
5. Monkey tail squirrel

Squirrel-tailed monkeys are small in size, living in tropical forests in South America. According to the researchers, this is the smallest monkey in the world. There are about 22 species of squirrel tailed macaque currently living in the world. Most monkeys are twins.
6. Mata mata Turtle
The mata mata leaf turtle is the most exotic shaped turtle among the world's turtles. They have a triangle, head and apricot head. Body shapes and colors make them easily confused with bark or leaves, helping them camouflage the enemy. Mata mata tortoises live in tropical rainforests in the Amazon and Orinoco basins.
7. Okapi
The Okapi is shaped like a hybrid animal between zebra and antelope, even easily confused with a unicorn. However, this strange animal has the closest relative to the giraffe. Their habitats are tropical forests in Central Africa. Their main food is leaves, ferns, grass and fruits. The Okapi's long tongue can help them clean their eyes and ears.
8. Amazon river dolphins
The Amazon river dolphin, or boto, is one of the five river dolphin species that exist and are the largest river dolphin in the world. They live in dark waters in the Amazon and the Orinoco basin of South America. River dolphins often swim in submerged forests. They are also called pink dolphins.
9. Sun bear (Sun bear)
Sun bears are the smallest of the bear family, found mainly in tropical rain forests in Southeast Asia. This is one of only two bears in the world to adapt to the tropical rainforest and is the only bear that mostly lives on trees. This bear has a prominent identification feature, which is a colored U shape on the chest.
10. Squid gibbon
Gibbons are the largest primates of the gibbon family. They originate from tropical forests in Southeast Asia. The outstanding feature of this species is the large part of the throat, making them loud and recognizable. This call can also help them establish territorial boundaries with other rivals.
