Apocalypse is flying towards Earth?

Asteroid named Toutatis 4179 giant sized peanuts are facing the Earth. Space scientists at the US National Radio Astronomical Observatory have begun tracking the movement of this asteroid.

Toutatis, 4.46 km long and 2.4 km wide, is one of the largest asteroids that has ever come close to Earth.

But even at the time this meteorite was closest to Earth in its journey on December 12, it was still 6.9 million kilometers from Earth, 18 times the distance from Earth to the Moon. With this distance, it does not create any threat to the existence of the Green Planet.

With the discovery of the composition of this asteroid, scientists will have a clearer view of the Solar System in the early days of formation.

Scientists have created a model of this asteroid's axial motion through which further research into its components.

Asteroid model Toutatis is built on a computer.

One hypothesis is that Toutatis is formed from the impact and sticking of two bodies.

Every time Toutatis approaches the Sun or Earth, gravity will affect this asteroid, changing its direction of rotation. Although this change is only very small, it also becomes significant in many years and every 4 years, Toutatis goes back to Earth.

Because Toutatis has a huge size, not only scientists but also interested people can observe it with the naked eye or with a small telescope at home.

And since this asteroid will not hit the Earth, "Doomsday" believers can breathe a sigh of relief.
