Asteroids explode in California sky
The origin of loud bangs accompanied by bright objects tore along the sky of Nevada and California (USA) on April 22 has been identified as an asteroid the size of a small truck.
The halo is thought to have been created by a small asteroid that is hitting the Earth's atmosphere at a speed of 15 km / s (54,000 km / h), turning it into a blazing fireball in the sky right in the middle day.
Bill Cooke, head of NASA's Meteorological Environment Office, said the asteroid gave off the same energy as it had emitted from a bomb stuffed with 3.8 kiloton TNT before exploding above the Sierra Nevada mountain peak in California state on April 22.

According to expert Cooke, the fact that this asteroid penetrates very deep into the Earth's atmosphere, creating a series of powerful sounds that shake homes throughout the region.
Reuters reported that even sirens on cars in the city of Carson (Nevada) were simultaneously activated.
Cooke calculated the asteroid to be about the size of a small truck.
Although it was not detected by the asteroid's attack, American experts teamed up to find its final incarnation, thanks to the low-frequency signal, which is below the audio level.
