Attach the dog chip to the national scale
Expected, on April 23, the British government will announce plans to add microchip to all puppies across the country for easy management.
Accordingly, millions of dog owners will have to spend £ 35 to transplant microchips under their pet's skin.
Implant chips for dogs
Microchip contains information about dog owners with the same address, stored in a central database that police and animal protection agencies have access to.
The government said that mounting chips would help police quickly find owners of stray dogs, fierce dogs or attack people, especially children, and prosecute them for not controlling pets.
Many are concerned that, not many fierce dog owners, like Rottweilers or Pitbull, will find ways to circumvent the law.
According to the plan, only puppies must have microchip attached. Some animal protection organizations want to gradually add microchip to all 8 million dogs in the UK.
In London, last year, police arrested 1512 dogs. This number five years ago was only 27.
Currently, more than 7 dogs have been reported each month for blind people attacked by other dogs.
