Science magazine (USA) published yesterday a report by Australian scientists about the discovery of a bacterium that can turn soil into gold, scientific name is Ralstonia metallidurans.

The group of scientists led by Dr. F. Reith obtained 0.1 - 2.5 mm gold particles scattered in two gold mines in Australia and found traces of bacteria above 80% Gold collected. Since then, they argue that Ralstonia metallidurans are useful as micro-soil filters, absorbing heavy metals in the dissolved state and turning them into hard and less toxic forms.

This is amazing because heavy metals are not only toxic to humans but also microorganisms. However, the scientists emphasized that it is not necessary to fill Ralstonia metallidurans in the home garden, then you can harvest the gold right away."It's important to have gold in the land first," Reith said .
