Beautiful earth image seen from space station
Celebrating the safe return of the crew, the International Space Station (ISS) has just announced stunning new images of the earth's landscape observed from the ISS station.
These images were saved by the Expedition crew 36 - 39 during flights to the ISS.
1. The door of the universe
NASA astronaut Karen Nyberg is watching the earth through the window of the Cupola control tower on the international space station (ISS). Cupola is considered the last observation deck on the space station, designed in a domed shape, with seven windows, including a main window and six windows surrounded.
These windows are quite solid, which protect the crew from meteorite collisions as well as separating the harsh space environment. At Cupola, the crew can observe the entire assembly process, as well as capture the beautiful corners of the earth observed from above.
2. Moscow night, Russia
An Expedition 38 crew on the ISS station recorded a beautiful image when the Moscow city and Russia lights up at night. Moscow shot from above like a glowing giant spider.
3. Caribbean dream
Also taken from the Expedition 38 spacecraft from the ISS station, Andros island, part of the Bahamas, beautifully depicted as in a dream. Because the island belongs to Cuba and is also part of the Caribbean Sea, the photo is named 'The Caribbean Dream'.
4. Sochi at night
We can easily recognize the Fisht Olympic Stadium, Russia, where the 2014 Winter Olympics opening ceremony was held, held on February 7, in bright circles on the photo. Sochi is a city located in Krasnodar Krai, Russia, on the Black Sea coast near the border between Georgia, Abkhazia and Russia.
5. Sunset over the Aleutian Islands
A sunset on the Aleutian Islands with noctilucent clouds is the most beautiful part of this picture. This image was taken by an Expedition 36 crew member on the International Space Station. The midnight sun shows a red stain, teardrop shape and reflection - perhaps from camera lenses, or from the window frame on the ISS.
The blue strip - long white is seen in the atmosphere on the midnight sun called the noctilucent cloud (bright night cloud). Some crew members said, this is the most beautiful phenomenon they see from orbit.
6. Majestic volcano from above
Bazman Volcano is located in a protected area of Bazman Sistan and Baluchestan provinces, south of Iran. Observing from above, Bazman volcano is shaped like a cone.
According to the geological record of the Smithsonian National Museum in the global volcanic program, the Bazman volcano had stopped erupting 10 thousand years ago, but there are still some activities to release gas and steam. At the volcanic summit, the council also concluded that Bazman's volcano could work again, although they did not know when.
7. Sahara Desert is windy
West of the Sahara mac is taken from the ISS station. In the photo, the Aouker sediment plateau appears prominently with black streaks on the desert's orange sand floor. Here, there are tall cliffs. The picture was taken when the desert floated, so we could observe the wavy lines on the sand dunes.
