Beautiful glowing coast like fireflies in Maldives
Stunning images capture the glowing blue coast in the dark night by microorganisms.
The phenomenon of blue glowing beaches in the dark always surprises the viewers with a series of beautiful photos. On a tour of the island paradise Maldives, Taiwanese photographer Will Ho recorded the beautiful image of the blue glowing seafront like fireflies.
The phenomenon of blue glowing ocean waves occurs due to the glowing of some types of plankton living in the sea. Planktonic species cause this phenomenon to be considered marine algae.
This seaweed emits red light during the day and is also responsible for the red tide phenomenon when they bloom in large numbers.
At night, they emit green neon light, move in the sea and cause the above phenomenon. Up to now, the glowing ability of the algae floating above has not been completely answered.
According to the latest research results, a special substance has been discovered on the cell membrane of this plankton.
