Beautiful photos: Admire the most intense galaxy to form stars

Giant, superheated plasma rays are 'reaching out' from an area on the sun. The photo was taken by NASA's Solar Dynamics observatory. Each of these rays has a height of several times the stacked earth.

Central and North America areas are marbled green. This image was taken by a NASA satellite on January 4, high resolution images. That satellite was introduced into space on October 2, 2011 and became NASA's new generation earth probe. This satellite is designed to help improve short-term weather forecasts and increase our understanding of climate change in the long term. This photo of 'marble color' marks the launch of this new satellite named Suomi NPP, the name of the pioneer of satellite meteorology - Verner E. Suomi.

The sand ripples near the crater in the Noachis Terra area, south of Mars. NASA scientists used the orbiting explorer Mars Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) to record this image, then color the image. The distribution and shape of Mars dunes change due to wind direction and wind intensity. This image helps scientists study how geological processes affect Mars.

Colorful halo surrounds the moon in Borrego Springs, California. This is an optical effect that occurs when moonlight interacts with fragile clouds and ice crystals at an altitude in the night sky. The width of the corona can be reduced or enlarged when the cloud moves through the moon.

Red dots are galaxies that are experiencing the most strain to form stars. The image was taken from an APEX telescope and these galaxies are located 10 billion light-years from Earth.
