Earlier, the launch was scheduled to be carried out by Russian missiles, but had to be postponed due to conflict in Ukraine.
Canadian media reported that the government had refused to bring important military satellites into orbit with Soyuz boosters due to an embargo against Russia. Canadian television channel announces that COM DEV has reached an agreement to launch a satellite with Antrix, an Indian space research organization.
M3MSat satellite should have been taken up from Baikonur airport in Kazakhstan on June 19. This device is responsible for conducting maritime reconnaissance and working in conjunction with Canada's RADARSAT-2 satellite.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said that with refusing to use Russian boosters, Canada acknowledged the military's military nature and "lost more money".
