The launch was made using Indian-made PSLV boosters from the Sriharikota Satellite Launch Center in Andhra Pradesh, South India.

Indian President Pranab Mukherjee witnessed the launch from the Control Center.

Of the seven satellites launched into orbit, a satellite of the Canadian Space Agency is notable. The satellite is called ' Sky Guard ', which searches for asteroids that may approach the Earth.

In addition, the 'Sky Guard' also tracks comets and debris in space that can cause collisions. The satellite flies around the Earth for 100 minutes.

This is noticeable because recently a meteorite of about 10,000 tons exploded in the Russian sky, destroying many facilities and injuring more than 1,000 people.

In addition to Canada's satellites, India's boosters carry three joint-venture satellites with France (SARAL), of which two satellites (ARGOS and ALTIKA) of the French Space Agency (CNES) are assigned to ocean currents and sea level height.

The French side hopes the two will help scientists better understand the impact of global warming. Three other satellites are put into orbit including a Danish satellite, a British satellite and another Canadian satellite.

This is the 23rd mission of the PSLV boosters manufactured by India. India is currently one of the major countries in the commercial satellite launch market.

Since 1999, the Indian Space Agency has released a total of 35 foreign satellites into orbit, in which PSLV boosters bring up orbit 10 foreign satellites. This South Asian country also plans to launch the first manned space flight in 2016.
