Cars made of fabric

Recently, a Japanese company called Rimono has launched electric cars with a shell made of ... fabric.

The 86-inch (approximately 2.6m) car looks almost like a smart fortwo (one of the smallest cars in the world today). The body is covered with polyester cotton, a water-repellent coating commonly used in the printing industry.

The car is equipped with four wheels with a rim made of hard plastic, small tires, but the car still has standard disc brakes. Rimono's front focal point is the headlamp like the doll's small front eyes.

Rimono furniture is suitable for 2 adults, or 1 adult and 2 children. Vehicles use the steering wheel as a motor, when the need to speed up the steering simply near the wrist. Car entertainment and information is provided through a screen similar to the iPad 7 inch.

The car uses a 4KW lithium-ion battery system with an electric motor with a capacity of 6.8 horsepower, a top speed of about 44 km / h, and can travel a distance of nearly 50 km per charge, but the battery can be removed. For easy replacement if power outages.

Rimono says its car will be targeted at cramped urban centers requiring a compact and non-polluting vehicle.
