The 53-year-old man who faced many river monsters in Discovery Channel's "River Monters" series had to admit that this was the biggest freshwater fish he ever caught.
During the 4-hour battle between anglers and prey, Mr. Wade sometimes thought that he could not win it.
The deadlock just broke after the fish was tired and he could pull it back to the shore. However, the biologist paid the giant stingray back to the river a few hours later.
This giant stingray is one of the largest freshwater fish species in the world. They often live in mud and sand in the river bottom so it is very difficult to catch them.
In addition, this stingray also possesses a tail that contains venom that can cause death if accidentally touched.
