Chameleons can change color blind?
Gecko's ability to discolor is considered a camouflage technique: It analyzes the surrounding color to imitate. So when the gecko is broken, can it change color?
(Photo: Downeastherps) The answer is yes, because sight is not directly related to the change in skin color of geckos. For example, the gecko Jackson has yellow spots when angry, and the lefo gecko turns gray when frightened. In the estrus season, male geckos are brightly colored to challenge each other before a beautiful person.
These skin color changes are caused by emotional hormones. It is not a "mimic" of colors from the environment, unrelated to the eyes and uncontrollable.
However, if a male gecko is blind, unable to see the color of the opponent, it will not have intense emotional reactions and thus cannot produce brilliant colors.
