Cheetah is in danger of extinction

The number of Cheetah jaguars in the Middle East plummeted due to oil depletion and illegal trade, each costing from 6,600 to 10,000 USD.

Each year more than 300 leopards are smuggled in Somililand, Somalia, data from the Cheetah Jaguar Conservation Fund (CFF). This trade is common in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia because jaguars are considered a symbol of the wealthy people here. The price of a Cheetah jaguar ranges from $ 6,600 to $ 10,000 depending on size and color, according to CNN .

The Cheetah Jaguar Conservation Fund estimates that currently 1,000 cheetahs are being held by private owners in Gulf countries, although the area does not allow wildlife trade. The situation of illegal jaguar trade in Saudi Arabia is getting worse."During transportation, many jaguars can break their bones when locked in tight cages, some of them die before being transferred to their destination," said Laurie Marker, CFF founder.

In recent years, a number of measures have been introduced to raise awareness about jaguar protection. A number of non-profit conservation projects have been set up, August 31 has been chosen as the national jaguar date in Iran. Even so, the number of Cheetah jaguars predicted by the CFF continues to decline. Conservationists have fought to keep the numbers stable in these areas but face serious problems. Oil exploitation in the Middle East also affects the pantheon habitat, there are many cases where jaguars were killed by trucks when crossing the highway.
