China is developing a spacecraft version containing many astronauts, capable of operating on orbits near Earth or landing on the Moon. Space engineer Zhang Bainian said the ship was part of the Orion spacecraft researched by the European Space Agency (ESA), Sputnik on March 9.
China started the program to bring people into space quite late. The country first introduced astronauts to space in 2003. Since then, Beijing's space program has made progress and is classified as one of the world's top three space powers. At the end of 2016, two Chinese astronauts were in space for up to a month.
Chinese media said it took five years to fully utilize the fully functional space station with a long-term crew. This is supposed to be the foundation for missions to the Moon later.
