According to china.org.vn, the ancient tomb is the burial place of Qin Shihuang, the founder of the Qin Dynasty, and the first emperor of China.

Archaeologists unearthed traces of two horse cars and 12 horse skeletons (each car was pulled by 6 horses). This is a symbol of the position of kings or members of the royal family, which can confirm the previous predictions that Qin Shihuang's grandmother was buried here.

In the excavation area, the expert team discovered a number of other valuable artifacts such as jade, gold and silver pieces and fine-carved pottery. They are buried with the tomb's owner.

The complex of tombs of Qin Shihuang, an area of 56km 2 , is the largest underground tomb area in the world. In many previous excavations, researchers have discovered 8,000 earthenware warriors guarding the emperor's tomb.
