China - Spain cooperates to preserve panda
China will send two pandas to Spain for scientists to study. This is part of a cooperative program between the two countries to preserve this endangered animal.
According to Zhang Zhihe, director of Chengdu Panda Research and Breeding Center in Sichuan Province, a 7-year-old male panda named " Bing Xing ", weighing 140 kg and the panda "Hua Zui Ba", 4 years old , weighing 93 kg will be sent to Madrid Zoo in the near future.
Panda is one of the world's most endangered animals. Statistics from the Chinese Ministry of Forestry show that there are only 1,590 live pandas in the natural world, most of them in the mountains of Sichuan province and more than 210 live pandas in captivity.
