Dead fish into piles in Mexican reservoir
Tens of thousands of fish in the reservoir of Hurtado, in the town of Acatlan de Juarez, Mexico have died due to the waste of a feed mill into the lake.
Emeterio Corona, Mayor Acatlan de Juarez said that the feed mill had poured hundreds of liters of molasses, causing the fish in the lake to suffocate.
Molasses is thought to be a byproduct of the processing of sugar beets and sugarcane to produce this feed of this plant.
The investigating agency has determined that this animal feed processing company operates without a permit, the mayor also said.
